Biography

Brian Knight, owner and manager of Springtime Homes, has a long history in both construction and environmental pursuit.  Mr. Knight is unique as a builder in the area to have a college education in building and construction with years of work experience for luxury and production builders. 

Degrees held include Business, Construction Management & Technology and Appropriate Technology from Appalachian State University with Magna Cum Laude honors. This is one of the best educations in appropriate building available.

Brian has managed projects in the construction industry since 2001, building around 60 homes in Greenville SC.   Before starting Springtime, Brian also worked with a luxury home builder in Asheville and a developer in Hendersonville.

Mr. Knight lives in Asheville, NC with his dog Scout.  His passion for outdoor activities has taken him to many remote locations, and in 1996 he thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail. It was events on the trail that led to a commitment of reducing dirty energy use.

If you can't get a hold of him, he is probably kayaking nearby on the Green River narrows.  Mr. Knight also enjoys playing his banjo, mandolin, guitar and fiddle, in his increasingly rare time off from work.
